Basketball – Capela and the Hawks beaten, end of series for the Suns

Atlanta lost to the Philadelphia 76ers (96-98), while Phoenix saw its streak of 18 consecutive wins end against Golden States (118-96).

Winner of eight of their last nine outings in the NBA, the Hawks fell to the 76ers on the night of Friday through Saturday. On their floor, Clint Capela and his teammates were narrowly beaten (96-98) by Philadelphia. In the “angeleno” derby, the Clippers, dominating throughout but worried until the end, still had the last word against the Lakers (119-115). The Heat goes back to 3rd place, taking advantage of Washington’s home loss against Cleveland (116-101). The Cavs, 6th with this 4th consecutive success, had up to 29 units in advance, carried by Darius Garland (32 pts, 10 assists, 8 rebounds) and Jarrett Allen (28 pts, 13 rebounds).
