The negotiations dragged on, rumors surfaced – but now ex-BVB professional Dembele is likely to extend his contract with Barca.
Ousmane Dembele is apparently on the verge of a contract extension with FC Barcelona.
Like the Spanish newspaper Sport reports, the new working paper should be signed in the coming week.
This was preceded by sluggish negotiations, and the future of the winger, who is often plagued by injuries, was long considered open.

According to Sport The deal is said to have come about mainly thanks to Dembele’s will to stay at Barca. The Frenchman’s advisors would have advised a change.
The former Dortmund, who is widely regarded as a scandal professional, was most recently associated with a transfer to the newly rich Premier League club Newcastle United. FC Bayern is also said to have dealt with the French.
