Are children allowed to box? – Explain to me

The fact that especially young people and sometimes even children train in a boxing club may surprise everyone who has seen heavy boxing matches on television.

However, many trainers and sports scientists see advantages for children when they learn a martial art such as judo or karate. And that includes boxes.

In addition to fitness, which any sport is good for, martial arts are also good for coordination and responsiveness. Many consider it safer to start boxing later, maybe at the age of ten or twelve.

It is important that children receive and use good protective equipment and that they are slowly introduced to martial arts. With young people in particular, a martial art like boxing can be good for keeping rules and being able to control their aggressions. In a good martial arts club you learn to control yourself and to respect other people.
