After participating in multiple competitions this year, archery closed with a positive participation upon returning to the podium after two years of absence from the National Games of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE).
“It was a difficult year in the field that derived from the pandemic there was not much recruitment of talent, we have been working with few goalkeepers. This 2021 was good because this sport returned to the medal table of the Conade nationals with silver and bronze after two years of being blank, the balance may be positive in that area “, said Oldair Zamora Nava president of the Hidalgo Association of Archery (AHTA).
For the following year, Zamora Nava reported that they are waiting for the return to normality in school classes to seek recruitment of new talents for this sport.
He added that at present, the team has a staff of 52 archers between Pachuca and Tulancingo, “we currently have no more than 20 athletes, due to the same circumstances of the global pandemic, we have been affected and we have not been able to count on the majority of athletes in face-to-face training ”.

It is important to remember that years ago, archery was one of the disciplines that gave the state the best results in the defunct National Olympiad, which is why it is intended to return to international levels as it had international exponents.
