Archery: 167 archers competing in Solaro, the results

In Solaro, organized by the Compagnia Arcieri del Sole, an interregional archery competition was held (paglioni 18 meters from the shooting lines) and 167 archers showed up in the Gaetano Scirea Sports Center. First of all, in this competition the athletes of the Bosco delle Querce di Seveso company inaugurated the indoor season by winning, in the Olympic arch division, seven individual medals (4 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze) and two team gold medals.

The young William Sioli (Junior category) started his indoor course with a gold medal and a personal best of 537 points; in the Giovanissimi excellent performance for Manuele Buzzi, on his debut at 18 meters: first with 451 points. Great performance also by the athletes of the women’s section who occupied the entire junior podium with Beatrice Prandini (gold), Chiara Pavone (silver) and Camilla Bergna (bronze) and thanks to their individual results they won team gold. The three girls competing also won the team gold medal as Sabrina Sala finished first in the individual, Michela Parinetti third, with a personal best of 485 points, and Greta Ormenese sixth.

The race saw the participation of numerous Solarian athletes: from the youngest, passing from new beginners to the most experienced of competitions, no one was spared, giving their best and reaching several podiums and satisfactory results certified by the conquest of an important loot of medals: 7 individual (1 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze) and 6 team (4 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze).

In individual competitions, Alessio Mangerini obtained the first important result in the junior Olympic arc: despite a burnt arrow at the end of time he won silver with 567 points. Also in the Olympic arc, Andrea Invernizzi (Boys Cat) won the bronze imitated in the Giovanissimi class, male section by Nicolò Inzoli while in the female Greta Piao Jin Xuan won the silver. Three medals were won in the naked bow, senior class by Cristian Trolese (gold) and Massimo Egidio Volpi (bronze), while in the master class Gianluigi Alberti won silver.

There were also numerous positive results from Solaro’s teams and they won medals thanks to individual performances, in particular in the Olympic Arch Junior category with Alessio Mangerini, Lorenzo Dominici, Mirco Gagliano; in the Youth category, gold with Nicolò Inzoli, Andrea Impiccichè, Elia Di Terlizzi; then in the Boys category the gold with Andrea Invernizzi, Davide Friso, Christian Pirovano and, in the women’s section, the bronze with Ylenia Piao Zi Xuan, Federica Gobbato, Linda Peverelli. Also in the Arco Nudo, the Senior team with Cristian Trolese, Massimo Egidio Volpi, Emiliano Giuranno and the Master team with Gianluigi Alberti, Gianluca Palumbo, Fabio Capoferri won gold.

With gold medals around their necks, two athletes from the Burarco Vimercate club returned to their headquarters: Claudia Nardecchia (A.Olimpico, Youth category) and Marina Mostardini (A.Nudo, senior). Finally, the archers of the Compagnia di Monza and Brianza competing in the Olympic arch division, master category, won the silver medal with Simone Canzi and the gold medal with the team made up of Canzi himself, Maurizio Cecchetto and Attilio Vignola.
