CANEGRATE (ME) – On the weekend before ChristmasASD Archers of Roccolo, thanks to the patronage of Municipality of Canegrate, organized two 18-meter interregional indoor archery competitions in the sports facility in via Partigiani, included in the Federal Fitarco calendar.
Great satisfaction of the organization for the excellent support from the members who once again worked hard as per company tradition to host 160 athletes arranged on the four rounds of competition.
The match on Saturday 18th, dedicated to the youth sector, saw many young Lombard archers on the shooting line starting from the very young category up to the juniores. In the youth competition good performance of the men’s junior Olympic team composed of Borsani Matteo, Valassina Mattia e Bacco Gabriele, for the male students class the team formed by Alfano Riccardo, Falciani Joel e Scolieri Lorenzo.
For the boys’ class team debut for Gambini Rebecca, Galazzi Elisa e Nardozza Michela.
As an individual excellent performance for the Olympic bow of Crespi Gaia, Borsani Matteo, Alfano Riccardo e Scazzosi Leonardo, while in the compound they are reported Randazzo e Castelli.
The competition on Sunday 19, open to all categories except for the very young, instead saw another 80 archers compete to win the Roccolo Trophy 2021. Excellent performances and competitive results in general of the Roccolo home athletes, in evidence the performance of the men’s junior compound team, composed of Borsani Matteo, Castelli Leonardo e Randazzo Fabio, which in 2021 was awarded the double title of Italian Champions in the team class at the CI Indoor of Rimini and the CI Targa of Bergamo as well as Regional Indoor Champions.
Excellent performance also for the home female compound master team made up of Cantons Barbara, Lavazza Laura e Toaiari Laura, Italian team class champions at the CI Targa in Bergamo 2021 and Silver at the CI Indoor in Rimini as well as being regional Indoor and Targa champions.
The Roccolo Trophy – Memorial Gianni Cazzato is awarded to the three best archers of the three types of Olympic bow, compound and naked without distinction of class and sex, and was delivered by Giuseppe Fucked, brother of our partner who died prematurely, to whom the event is dedicated. The winners of the 2021 edition were Tanya Giada Giacchieri of the CS Aeronautica Militare in the Olympic arc, Fabio Randazzo of the Archers of Roccolo and Casteno Mirelli of Mirasole City of Opera in the bare arch.
