Andrea Ramírez selected for national – El Sol de Tulancingo

The student from the Tulancingo basketball school, Águilas JIT, was once again considered by state selectors to form part of the team that will represent Hidalgo in the National U14 Basketball Tournament, which starts this Thursday in Sonora.

Andrea Ramírez Castelán also participated in the last sub 15 national championship, thanks to his quality of play; however, her official category is the sub 14, in which she was summoned now.

This selection has been in preparation for about a month, under the charge of Professor Luis Gómez, who will lead the team in this national competition, which concludes on December 12.

The Tulancingo coach, Edgar Ramírez, said about Andrea that she is one of many students in this municipality who are growing sportingly and that they will surely raise Tulancingo in competitions like this one, in Sonora, and many more to come.

This Thursday will be the reception of the participating teams and in the afternoon the official opening of the tournament will take place, followed by the technical meeting to refine the details of the competition.

Next Friday, Hidalgo begins his participation against the Zacatecas team, and later he will face Jalisco. While on Saturday the group stage against Durango closes, and if they qualify, the afternoon of that same day they would play the quarterfinals.

Already on Sunday, the semifinal matches, the game for third place, as well as the grand final will be played.
