Anderlecht continue their seduction operation against Sint-Truiden before the Topper in Brugge

Anderlecht did not miss the opportunity to clinch a fourth consecutive victory in the league by winning at home against Sint-Truiden (2-0) on Tuesday as part of the 19th day of the Pro League. The men of Vincent kompany settle provisionally in third place in the standings, two lengths behind Club Brugge, their next opponent, before the rest of the festivities on Wednesday and Thursday.

It is Lior Refaelov, ideally served by Joshua Zirkzee, who opened the scoring with a header on the hour mark (60 ‘1-0). The fit man of Sporting (six goals in five matches in all competitions!) Did not go far from the double, while his young teammate Yari Verschaeren also had the opportunity to put one or the other in the net in the second half. Benito Raman, who also almost doubled the end of the match (his goal was canceled for an offside position), is for his part to be credited with an excellent rise in the game.

In the last moments of the meeting, Majeed Ashimeru, served by the former Standard and Ghent striker, doubled the lead in favor of RSCA (96 ‘2-0).

Before that, the STVV had not gone far from the equalizer in the minutes which followed the goal of the Israeli, the fault, no doubt, with a little carelessness in the ranks of Brussels. But the Purple quickly came to their senses – despite a few scares just before Majeed Ashimeru’s goal! – and offered a show to their audience before their important trip to Club Brugge, next Sunday, during the Topper on the program for the twentieth day of the championship.
