Optibet’s Premier League championship RFS continues to complete the line-up. The latest addition to the team is the promising Valery Lizunov.

The 17-year-old player made a brilliant statement last season representing the BFC “Daugavpils” team. The young Optibet footballer took part in 22 games in the Premier League, scoring two goals and scoring three assists. He made his debut in the Latvian championship in the 2020 season, but he strengthened in the first team last season. It is interesting that he scored one of the goals this year just away from RFS. Lizunov is regularly called to the Latvian youth national team. A long-term agreement has been reached with the prospective player.

Yesterday, the defender of the Latvian national team Vladislav Fyodorov became an addition to the RFS. The contract with him is signed for two seasons. The 25-year-old has mostly played in a good defensive position in recent seasons, but can also take the place of a midfielder. He has also been on the field several times in his career in the past.

It has already been reported that Optibet’s Premier League club Riga announced on Thursday that it will not renew its contract with Fyodorov. Fyodorov “Riga” spent three seasons, joining the “Metta” / “University of Latvia” team in 2019. Together with the team, a student of Daugavpils football school Fyodorov became the champion of Latvia in 2019 and 2020.

In total, the defender played 78 games for Riga, scored five goals and scored eight times. In the highest league of Latvia, the footballer has also played in “Daugavpils”, but in 2015 he spent several months in the second team of the Polish club “Lech” in Poznan. Fyodorov has played 167 games in the Latvian Super League, in which he stood out with 18 goals scored and 18 assists.

The Latvian national team Fyodorov has 14 games and one goal against the Faroe Islands. It was previously reported that RFS head coach Viktor Moroz agreed with the club to extend the contract for another two seasons. Roberts Savaļnieks, the defender of the Latvian national football team, left the club, but another Latvian national team defender, Vitalijs Maksimenko, joined him in the off-season. Last season, RFS won a “double” in Latvia – it won the Latvian championship and the Latvian Cup.
