Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer has apologized for a video that went viral over the weekend.

In it, a young woman can be seen doing a suggestive dance in front of the 57-year-old man.

“I apologized to my team and my coaching staff for being a distraction,” Meyer said at a press conference Monday. It was just stupid. I explained what had happened and I assumed my responsibilities. It was really stupid. I should never find myself in this kind of situation. ”

The coach also explained that he had apologized to his family members and the owner of the Jaguars.

The “Jags” were in action last Thursday, who suffered a 24-21 loss to the Bengals in Cincinnati. Meyer did not accompany his team back to Florida and remained in Ohio to visit family members. On Friday night, he went to a restaurant he owns and it was there that the video was filmed.

Considered one of the best coaches in the NCAA, Meyer made the jump to the NFL with the Jaguars in 2021. He is still chasing his first Goodell Tour victory. His team suffered defeat in their first four outings.

The Jacksonville club will return to action next Sunday, when the Tennessee Titans visit EverBank Field.
