FC Twente Women and Ajax Women have delivered a real football fight at the top of the Eredivisie. In De Grolsch Veste it became 3-2 for FC Twente.

The Tukkers took the lead early in that game. Renate Jansen gave her team a 1-0 lead in the thirteenth minute. After Fenna Kalma doubled the lead, FC Twente seemed to keep the loot in their own house.

However, the Ajax players did not give up. In the second half they came back into the game via Romee Leuchter. She even scored twice to tie the score. The second came from a penalty kick, in which Kayleigh van Dooren received a red card. With ten players, FC Twente had to stop, but then scored itself. Kerstin Casparij made the decisive 3-2 in injury time.
