Van Hanegem lashes out at Schmidt: ‘Get out of PSV, man’

Willem van Hanegem does not understand the PSV plans to extend Roger Schmidt’s contract at all. The German trainer does not deserve it, according to De Kromme.

Van Hanegem is not a fan of Schmidt to say the least. “Listen. It really is when you think: this does not exist. He does not answer that question himself, does he”, the former international refers to the interviews that Schmidt gives after PSV matches in conversation with ESPN.

PSV is on the same level with leader Ajax after eleven Eredivisie rounds, but according to Van Hanegem, everything has been said. “Everyone is injured with them. That’s too crazy for words? If you look at it logically, you think: well, come on, this can’t be. Take all the scribes to Germany. Get out man.”

Van Hanegem has absolutely nothing to do with the data that plays a prominent role in Schmidt’s choices. “If you’re looking, you can see whether someone is getting tired or not. You don’t have that anyway equipment when needed.”

“But he’s also stubborn,” he continues. “If we say: it’s hopeless. Then he says: this is one of our best matches. He says the exact opposite every time. So I don’t understand. Even if they give him a ten-year contract, that will be a concern to me. They just have to buy a lot of players.”
