Uriel Canjura advanced to the badminton final and is sure of the silver

Uriel Canjura qualified for the individual badminton final and has already secured the silver medal at the Junior Pan American Games in Cali, in a day of celebration for the Salvadoran delegation that added two bronzes in archery.

The Salvadoran beat Mexican Luis Montoya by 21-19, 8-21 and 21-17 and is going for the gold medal.

In the quarterfinals, Canjura beat Brazilian Donnians Abreu by 21-19 and 21-18.

“I knew it was going to be a very tight match and I had already played a couple of times with the Brazilian. He ran everything, but I’m very happy. To keep fighting to reach the final.
