Joshua Kimmich was infected with the corona virus. At least that’s what the “Bild” reports. The newspaper refers to two sources not named, which are said to have confirmed the information independently of one another.

The Bayern star has been in domestic isolation for days because of contact with a person suffering from Covid 19. Now a test was positive for the 26-year-old.

Shortly before, Flick spoke about a vaccination conversation with Kimmich

The report on Kimmich’s Covid illness appears only a few hours after national coach Hansi Flick spoke about a vaccination conversation with his national player at an event. “I think that Jo is going in the direction of getting vaccinated,” said the 56-year-old.

So far, Kimmich has refused a vaccination against the coronavirus with reference to an alleged lack of long-term studies. In the past few days, however, there should have been a rethink, the online portal “The Athletic” and “Bild” reported even before Flick’s statement.
