‘Union SG is alive: supporter clubs are shooting up, from Limburg to the coast’

Union Saint-Gilloise is doing very well in the Jupiler Pro League. The Duden Park was completely full for the first time against Sporting Charleroi. It doesn’t stop there, because the new fan clubs are sprouting like mushrooms.

Sports/Football Magazine know that against Charleroi no less than 8100 – the maximum imposed by the police of the municipality of Forest – supporters were present. Moreover, Union has already sold 4,500 subscriptions, while an optimistic estimate of 3,000 was already made for the season. Moreover, the supporters come from all corners of the country.

Union currently has twelve supporter clubs, half of which are not from Brussels. There are three in Wallonia (Braine-l’Alleud, Ath and Namur) and three in Flanders (Beersel, Opwijk and Ostend). Union even recently received an application to set up a supporters club in Antwerp, and interest is increasing from Limburg, perhaps due to the presence of Dante Vanzeir.
