“Tiger Woods is going to try to play the PGA Tour again”

There is hope. Tiger Woods has yet to throw in the towel. The player who has had the most impact in the history of golf continues to fight to play again after the very serious car accident that he suffered last February and that he threatened not only to cut short his career but also his life.

Throughout his career, Woods (45) has been a person little given to sharing too many details of his private life and with his injury he is no exception. Almost ten months after the accident, it is hardly known how his recovery is going.

Little has come out of Woods’ health since his serious car accident.

The player himself published on Instagram a smiling photo with crutches in April and shortly after he acknowledged to Golf Digest that it was being the most painful recovery he had ever had. And this was said by someone who has had back surgery five times and knee surgery twice.

Months later, he was seen at a tournament played by his son, Charlie Axel, leaning on a golf club, hinting that Lacsa was on the right track. But there was no concrete news or medical reports.

Until now, when Justin Thomas, who has become one of his best friends in recent years and visits his home in Jupiter (Florida) often, has revealed some detail about Tiger and has returned the smile to his fans.

Thomas, also a former world number one in the rankings, was interviewed on the No Laying Up podcast, where he was questioned about his return. “I do not know if he will return but I do know that he will try. He is a person with a lot of determination and I am sure that at least he will give him a chance,” said the Kentucky.

The North American player also revealed that despite how hard the recovery process is being, Woods has not lost his irony and that he continues to ‘attack’ him with his trash talk. “It’s Groundhog Day, nothing has changed in this regard,” he joked. An aspect that according to Thomas has had a decisive influence on being able to act as a father normally.

Of course, the Louisville made it clear that if Tiger decides to return, it is to compete at the highest level. “I don’t see him playing if he can’t compete well. He’s not the kind of golfer who can’t get down to 75 or 76 and decides to play at Augusta, for example.”

With these words on the table, it remains unknown when Tiger Woods will be seen again, whether on or off a golf course. Of course, as is traditional, he is the organizer of the Hero World Challenge, which this year takes place from December 2 to 5 in the Bahamas, and it is common to see him during the tournament.
