The Valladolid Senior Badminton World Championship is being held this week in the city of Huelva, the hometown of the famous Carolina Marín, where the team from the University of Valladolid will be present.
The Badminton UVa is represented in this international competition that gathers the best rackets in the world from 35 years: Jose Fraile in men’s doubles and Roberto del Cueto in individual and mixed doubles with his partner and former UVa player, Rachel Osorio They will try to put Spanish badminton in the best possible position.
What’s more Silvia Garretas, also a member of the university team, enjoys this world event from the refereeing team adding a new experience to his extensive curriculum in international refereed competitions.
Great event for Spain and especially for the Spanish badminton that will culminate with the Absolute World Championship in mid-December where the Spanish players are expected to perform well.
