Guadalajara (AP) – French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova from the Czech Republic started with a defeat in the WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The number three in the world rankings was defeated by Estonian Anett Kontaveit in the first game after just 76 minutes with 3: 6, 4: 6. In the duel between two debutants in the WTA finals, the 25-year-old Kontaveit did not let anything burn with their own service and made a break in both sets.
