Suzann Pettersen has represented Europe nine times as a player and twice as a vice-captain. She has won the Solheim Cup seven times.
Double winner in Major (Evian Championship 2013, PGA Championship 2007), Suzann Pettersen especially left his mark on the Solheim Cup. In 2019, for her final participation as a player, the Norwegian was chosen by captain Catriona Matthew. And even after an 18-month absence following the birth of his first child, Pettersen responded: a final putt on the 18th on the Sunday inquired allowed Europe to reclaim the trophy.
This success 14.5 to 13.5 sealed the legend of the one who was world No. 2 in 2011 and 2013. Suzann Pettersen was also retiring from sport in the wake of soberly explaining that “It can never be as strong as this moment again”.
Here she is now ready for a new challenge: leading the European team (of which Céline Boutier was part during the last two editions) to a new success in 2023 in the heart of the Costa del Sol at Finca Cortesín (Spain).
