The Spanish Susana rodriguez She has been proclaimed world champion of paratriathlon for the fourth time in her career – the third consecutive title – after signing a magnificent race in Abu Dhabi, where she confirmed her favoritism from the beginning of the test.

The current Paralympic and world champion from Vigo did not give her rivals a chance and claimed her fourth world title in the stifling event in Abu Dhabi. Rodríguez was already acclimatized to the city because her preparation for Tokyo was there, at more than 30 degrees.

Accompanied by her guide Sara Löehr, the world champion had no opposition in category B1, where the silver went to the Italian Anna Barbaro – penalized during the race – and the bronze went to the British Alison Peasgood, one of the favorites but absent on the podium of the last Paralympic Games.

«That this is a World Championship! Gold and four go. This time accompanied by Sara Loehr. Let’s enjoy and start building for next year! ”Susana Rodríguez wrote on her Twitter account after achieving the feat in Abu Dhabi.
