Gymnastics: the organizers of Eurogym 2022 in Neuchâtel are looking for a thousand volunteers

Eight months before the launch of Eurogym 2022 in Neuchâtel, the organizers have launched their recruitment campaign. The organizing committee is looking for a thousand volunteers for its event. Only request to be able to register? Be at least 15 years old.

The motivated can register in five different sectors: logistics, reception, catering, communication and the medical and health service. As a reminder, the Eurogym will be held from July 7 to 15, 2022. / COMM FCH


Orienteering race: several Neuchâtel podiums at the Swiss team championships

For their last big meeting of the season, the Swiss orienteers met in the Toppwald forest, on the heights of Konolfingen (BE), to compete in the national team games. The athletes of the Neuchâtel Orienteering Association (Anco) obtained good results, notably with an elite fourth place from Pascal Buchs, Archibald Soguel and Marc Lauenstein.

In the HAK category, the Berger family (Inès, Loïc and Alain) came third. Finally, the residents of Anco celebrated the titles in H210 (Jean-Claude Guyot, Alain Juan, and Pekka Marti) and H120 (Stefan Lauenstein, Gilles Renaud and Roger Zimmermann). / COMM FCH


Fencing: the fine blades shine in Biel

The next generation of fencing in Neuchâtel is assured. The young fine blades were out this weekend on the occasion of a stage of the national junior circuit in Biel.

Olivia Sommer (La Chaux-de-Fonds fencing hall) was second in the under 8 category. Arthur Stolz (Société d’escrime de Neuchâtel) also finished second with the under 14s. Loevan Gafner (SECH) completed this good overall result with a good third place in the Under 8 category. / FCH


Badminton: Sofia Uvarova and Gitika Venkatasubbaiah on the box in Spiez

Neuchâtel badminton clubs continue their harvest at each national junior tournament. In Spiez, Gitika Venkatasubbaiah had a successful new festival. The fine racquet affiliated with BC La Chaux-de-Fonds (BCC) and BC Neuchâtel won the ladies’ double and reached the singles final in the under 13 category.

Sofia Uvarova (BC Neuchâtel) placed second in women’s singles and third in women’s under 15.

On the boys’ side, Nicolas Briancourt (BC Neuchâtel, M15) took third place in men’s doubles. Léo Boichat (BCC, M17) is mounted twice on the box. He finished second in the men’s doubles and third in the mixed doubles. / FCH
