Various speakers, over 50 programs available
“SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK SHIBUYA 2021”, an urban excursion event, will be held for 10 days from October 5th to 14th in Tokyo as a place for “meeting ideas. Ideas are born. Ideas are gathered. It will be held in a hybrid of Shibuya’s multi-site area and online.
This year, which is the 4th time, the theme is “Ideas for Alternative Society, a new _____ will start.” It will be held in four formats: Idea Session. In “Key Dialogue,” Tomoya Ochiai, a 3×3 Japanese national team player at the Tokyo 2020 Games, Seiko Ito, a writer and creator, Ken Hasebe, the mayor of Shibuya Ward, and Asako Tsuji, arca CEO and creative director, are among the various industries. Top runners will talk on six themes, considering the possibilities of an alternative society.
By creating a program together with industry, government, academia and the private sector in the city of Shibuya and participating in discussions, we aim to meet, connect and shape various ideas. In addition, this year, programs focusing on Generation Z will also appear, such as “Thinking about the sex of Gen Z’s heart and body” in which members of the Shibuya Ward Assembly will participate, and “SDGz Project”, a project to think about SDGs from the perspective of Generation Z.
