Seeks Freeman 6-year contract with Atlanta

A six-year contract extension is the problem between the champion Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman.

And it is that it transpired in MLB Network that the conversations between both parties have been slowed down for that reason, about whether the MVP of the 2020 National League will receive a sixth year in his contract.

Other teams have shown interest in the first baseman, but the Braves remain the favorites.

A six-year deal would see Freeman contest that final season at age 37, something Atlanta is trying to avoid.

Freeman’s eight-year, $ 135 million extension that just ended is the largest deal in franchise history, but a six-year deal could top that number.
