Scottie Pippen reflects on Michael Jordan Ruining Basketball in Chicago Bulls’ latest claim

The Chicago Bulls are one of the NBA’s most notable franchises. Made famous by Michael Jordan and their winning team in the 90s, they have grown famous ever since. However, few of the famous Bulls’ team seem to disagree. Especially Scottie Pippen and Jordan, who are one of the best double in NBA history. Recently, however, Pippen returned to one of the comments he made about Jordan.

Pippen has been extremely active with the media recently. However, he didn’t get the most attention because of his comments. While promoting his various products and his memoir, “Unguardable,” Pippen has not been kind to some of the legends. Notably, his own teammate, Michael Jordan.

In a recent interview, Pippen explained some of his previous comments and seemed to echo them in a way.

Scottie Pippen explains Michael Jordan ruins basketball claim

Speaking to the media some time ago. Pippen drew plenty of glances for a certain comment. He said Jordan ruined the game of basketball because the kids tried to emulate him. It kept them from trying to pass and be like MJ and score.

Pippen said LeBron was the greatest because he embodied the true nature of basketball. However, it looks like Scottie is withdrawing his comments in his recent interview.

Pippen said, “That early style of basketball that Michael played before the triangle came into play. This type of basketball didn’t win in basketball. And I don’t consider, you know, that it ruins the game, but it’s not winning.

Pippen erased the fact that Michael Jordan didn’t ruin the game. But he still thinks Jordan created an atmosphere where basketball victory was not followed. He refers to Jordan’s pre-championship self-championship when he was the Bulls’ only star. Michael Jordan has always been the goalscorer, but before that he had to do a lot more to keep Chicago afloat.

Pippen thought it may have rubbed off the wrong way and conveyed the message of the importance of scoring at the time. However, Jordan was also a master of defense. He won a DPOY award and even made several All-Defensive teams during his career. Coming to game making was never his job on the team. However, for LeBron James, he had to do it all because of the players he had around.
