In the first half of the first period, the Rigans passed one minority, but in the second half, after Mikhail Glukhov hit Ralph Freiberg in the face, he had the opportunity to play in the majority for five minutes. The violation of the numerical line – up gave Dinamo the opportunity to play for as long as two minutes in the large majority, which was quickly used by Meija, sending a puck driven by former teammate Timur Bilalov to the goal after Rudolf Cherveny ‘s shot.
In the final minutes of the period, the opponents did not use a couple of opportunities to equalize the result. In the first 20 minutes, the Rigans took the lead in the goal – 15:11.
In the middle of the second third, after a match in the attack zone, Jordan Will equalized the result, but in the second half of the period, the guests wasted a two-way trip against the opponent’s defender and did not realize the majority.
However, in the seventh minute of the third period, Dārziņš, after his own shot from the sharp angle, sent Billova’s rebound to the empty goal and reached 2: 1. Eight minutes before the end of the regular time, when the Rigans finally played in the minority, Danieli Tarasov equalized the result, but 65 seconds later Danis Zaripov made a difficult throw in the fall at the end of the counterattack, reaching 3: 2 in favor of “Ak Bars”.
After another 69 seconds, the chaos in the “Dinamo” defense zone was exploited by Dmitry Voronkov, who slipped the goal and strengthened the dominance of the home team. In this episode, he played with his helmet loose, but the referees did not impose a penalty for inappropriate equipment.
“Dinamo” did not get up from “nokdauna” and suffered a loss with 2: 4.
In the overall rating of the Western Conference, Riga “Dinamo” is ranked 11th in 25 games with 25 points. Kazan’s “Ak Bars” Eastern Conference tournament table with 44 points in 32 games ranks third.
The Riga team has been able to win only one victory in the last six games, beating Vladivostok’s Admiral at home 3: 2. In the last match, the Rigans gave up 0: 1 to “Sochi” represented by Jānis Jaks.
“Ak Bars” has won five victories in the last five matches, including beating Riga “Dinamo” 3: 1 on November 18. In the last match, the Kazan team won the Torpedo of Nizhny Novgorod with a result of 3: 2 in overtime.
This season the teams have met once, in which the victory was won by “Ak Bars” with 3: 1. In total, within the KHL, both teams have played 27 mutual games, in seven of which the Riga team has won.
The list of injured players of the Riga team includes Nikolajs Jeļisejevs and Mārtiņš Karsums. Kārlis Čukste and Jordons Sautorns did not go out either.
After this game, the Rigans will have one away match left in this series, which will be played on November 25 against Nizhny Novgorod “Neftehimik”.
