Pumas split against the Falcons and set foot in the final

Cougars of Córdoba divided on Saturday in a doubleheader played at Club Dolphins against the Falcons de Córdoba, defeating them in the first hour by a score of 4-3 and falling 9-3 in the baseline match.

The “Orange” made three lines in the lower part of the first episode of the first game; and from there the reaction of Pumas began and then with a couple more in the fifth inning and another in the seventh with a producer hit by Carlos Pacheco in which Pedro Agustín Figueras scored, which the dessert was the victory race.

Venezuelan Yaferson López took the victory for Pumas (4-0) by throwing one and two-thirds inning in relief, where he struck out four rivals. The loser was Juan Ignacio Borras (2-2) after allowing three hits and a one-inning relief run.

For the offense of Pumas, Pedro Agustín Figueras went 4-2 with scored and RBI, and Richard Porteles 4-2 with scored.

In the second hour the story was different, as the Falcons brought four runners to the rubber in the first third of the game and although Pumas scored with three scores between innings 4 and 5, the “Orange” attacked with five scores between innings 5, 6 and 7; including two runs in the seventh inning, with Michael Depen’s unstoppable two-run RBI.

Venezuelan Carlos Parra won the Falcons (4-2) by pitching seven innings, in which he allowed six hits, three runs, one walk and four strikeouts; for Pumas Samuel Hidalgo took the loss (3-2) by allowing eight hits and four runs in three innings.

Infernales swept Águilas and complicates the situation

At Club Popeye, Infernales de Salta swept Águilas de Salta on the doubleheader by scores of 5-1 and 9-4, to move to third place in the standings and get within one game of the classification.

The “spinach” attacked with three lines in the second inning to overcome the score that Águilas made in the first inning, later Infernales scored two more runs in the sixth section to sentence the slate.

Lucas Ramón pitched complete route, seven innings, where he allowed four hits, one run and retired eight opponents via strikeout, to take the victory (3-1). The defeated was Fernando Cancelare (2-4).

For the Infernales offense, Joyner Villalta went 3-2 with an RBI, two walks and scored, Bautista Ramón 4-1 with two RBIs and Ezequiel Talevi 4-2 with a charter.

In the baseline game, Águilas made two touchdowns in the first two innings of the game, but Infernales came close with two touchdowns between innings two and three and five in the fifth inning, to finally overcome a deficit; two more came with Ezequiel’s sacrifice fly and an RBI from Martín Cruz.

Luis González took the victory (4-4) by completing work in seven innings, where he allowed 10 hits, four runs, two walks and guillotined four opponents. José Cancelare bore the defeat (0-1).

So they go: Pumas 15-9 -, Falcons 12-12 3.0, Infernales 11-13 3.0, Aguilas 10-14 5.0
