Post employees ask for their personal voucher back

300 retired postal workers are demanding their personal vouchers, which the Post intends to cancel in the future

Around 300 people demonstrated in front of the post office in Bern against the intention of the management not to pay out staff vouchers to retirees. The measure was “absolutely unnecessary” in view of the 370 million profit of the post in the first nine months of this year, said Syndicom President Daniel Münger.

In October, Swiss Post announced internally that from 2022 onwards, retirees would no longer receive a 200-franc voucher – around 20,000 people are affected. Active employees will still receive this voucher. Instead, the Post wants to promote more regional get-togethers in the future for the benefit of retired people and pay for the food at such get-togethers. (sda)
