Players confirmed for ATP Delray Beach 2022

The ATP 250 of Delray Beach returns to its usual date confirming several players who affirm that they will be within the American appointment during this 2022.

From February 14 to 20, a tournament that has been on the ATP calendar since 1993 will take place with Todd Martin as the first champion. This 2021 had a significant change changing its date since it was the first tournament of the year to be played from January 4 but again it returns to that natural position that is in those weeks prior to the first Masters 1000 of the season both in Indian Wells as in Miami.

Four players confirm their presence

There are four players who have given their confirmation to the organization. The British Cameron Norrie who has had a spectacular year is the player with the best ranking that has given his affirmation. The 26-year-old tennis player who today occupies the 12th position in the ATP ranking, reached the semifinals last year being surpassed by Sebastian Korda.

Reilly Opelka who already won the title in 2020 is another of the tennis players who will be present at this event. The 2.11cm giant will come with a very positive balance of eight wins and two losses, the fourth time he has played the tournament. In 2019 he succumbed to Juan Martín Del Potro and in 2018 to Peter Gojowczyk. Just the German reached the final and fell to Frances Tiafoe who is the third tennis player who has given his go-ahead to travel to Delray Beach during the month of February. Attractive place for him as it is the only ATP title he has ever won.

Finally, we will have Nick kyrgios. After the Australian tour where he will try to do a good job in front of his team, he will travel to the United States to a place visited only in 2019 and where he reached the second round. The Australian can see his Top 100 status in jeopardy at the start of the season since at the moment as No.92 he is on the edge.
