American Talor Gooch widened the gap at the top of the RSM Classic on Saturday in Georgia (United States) and will start the final round on Sunday with three strokes ahead of Colombian Sebastian Munoz and Irish Seamus Power.
The Oklahoma player, 52nd in the world rankings, surrendered a card of 67 and is now 16 strokes below par.
At 30, he is aiming for a first victory on the PGA Tour.
The hunting peloton, behind Munoz and Power, is led by his compatriot Tom Hoge (4th), who also returned a card of 67 on Saturday on the Seaside, one of the two courses used for this tournament.
Canadian Mackenzie Hughes is tied with two other golfers for fifth, but five strokes behind the leader.
