Nigrán Basketball honors the victims of sexist violence

Ana Peleteiro, Sergio Pazos, Alfonso Agra or Fina Casalderrey are some of the well-known faces that have participated in the video that the club makes every year

The Nigrán Basketball Club pays one more year its particular tribute to the victims of sexist violence on the occasion of the day against Gender Violence. He does it with a new video in which the athlete has collaborated Ana Peleteiro, the adapted surfing world champion Aitor Francesena Gallo, actors Sergio Pazos and Alfonso Agra, the actresses Uxía Blanco and Nerea Barros, the mountaineer Chus Lake or the writer Fina Casalderrey. Together with them, the cloisters of the educational centers of Nigrán participate in addition to the players themselves of the club.

All of them appear in the video wearing one basketball, one ball for each woman, as well as for each of the six boys and girls killed in 2021. There are a total of 46 balls that at the end of the video make up a great loop on the pavilion court with which the Nigranian sports club wants to honor the memory of the victims and show their rejection towards gender violence.

This initiative, which they have been developing for several years, is part of the social work carried out by the club, where they consider “a fundamental aspect to work on values ​​through sport”. The president of the entity, Nuria Gomez, wanted to thank all the people who have participated for their support. “We know that to eradicate this social scourge, education is essential. We have all participated feeling that we are contributing to the fight against sexist violence, ”he emphasizes.
