CLEVELAND – Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin suffered a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season, theAssociated Press from a source familiar with the situation.
Conklin is suffering from a partial torn tendon in his knee, the source added, who requested anonymity, as the team has yet to confirm the nature of his injury. He was injured in the first quarter of the 16-10 lost game to the Baltimore Ravens. It was a magnetic resonance imaging test taken on Monday that confirmed the tear.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is due to speak to reporters later Monday.
Conklin’s injury is a blow to the broken down offense for the Browns, who have scored 17 points or less in six of their last seven games.
He had just returned to training after missing three games with a dislocated elbow. He had also missed two games earlier this season with a knee injury.
