NFL: Ben Roethlisberger Enters COVID-19 Protocol; absent against the Lions

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Saturday that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s name has been added to the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol.

Consequently, Roethlisberger will miss Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

His replacement behind the center will be Madon Rudolph, according to Ian Rapoport, from NFL Network.

Despite performances deemed disappointing, “Big Ben” got the start in his team’s first eight games this season.

He’s completed 65.6% of his passes so far for 1986 yards, with ten touchdowns and four interceptions.

Against the Lions, the Steelers (5-3) will be looking for a fifth straight victory.
