New BWF Ranking List Ahead of Indonesia Masters 2021, Ginting Above Chen Long

BADUNG, iNews.id – The latest BWF ranking list ahead of the 2021 Indonesia Masters has been released. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is still ahead of Chen Long (China) in the men’s singles sector.

Ginting is in fifth position with 87,567 points just above Chen Long who is sitting on sixth (84,400). Meanwhile, Jonathan Christie is in eighth place with 75,847.

The world ranking of men’s singles is still controlled by Japanese badminton player Kento Momota. Despite being absent for a long time due to a car accident, Momota was still able to maintain his position in first place.

Nevertheless, Momota still has to be careful because currently his points are only slightly ahead of the Danish badminton player, Viktor Axelsen, who occupies the second position. Momota has 110,410, while Axelsen has 109,779.

Axelsen’s performance is actually going uphill. Throughout the 2021 calendar, the 27-year-old badminton player has won five tournaments. These include winning a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and winning the Denmark Open in 2021.
