NBA summary of November 20: Wizards come back from behind in scores and standings

The Washington Wizards came from behind to defeat the Miami Heat 103-100 on Saturday night.

They were behind by 16 points in the third quarter and by 10 with 4:42 left in the game.

This victory allows them at the same time to overtake the Heat by a half-match in the standings in their division. They’re also a half a game away from the Brooklyn Nets at the top in the East.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Spencer Dinwiddie each had 16 points, including two long baskets. Together, they scored all the runs in a 15-2 push that put Washington ahead 99-96 with 1:43 to go.

Bradley Beal added 21 points.

Another big Celtics game

Jayson Tatum and Dennis Schroder joined forces to help the Boston Celtics defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-105.

Tatum had 33 points, Schroder 29, while Al Horford added 10 in addition to 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Boston has now won for the seventh time in 10 games.

The Celtics haven’t seen any slack despite playing the Lakers the day before, in a game where Tatum also excelled with 37 points and 11 rebounds.

In the loss, Luguentz Dort amassed 16 points, compared to 15 for Josh Giddey, who also caught 8 rebounds.

OKC have lost four of their last five games.
