On Sunday, from 9 o’clock, the National Archery Tournament organized by the La Plata Archery School (ETALP) will take place, with more than 150 representatives from different clubs from all over the country.
The competition that awards points for the national championship will be held on the premises that the Centro Basko Euzko Etxea has on 154 and 444 streets, in Las Banderitas, City Bell, and will be for both men and women and young people, grouped into different categories. .
Admission is free and free for those who want to come to see this ranchable open-air competition, in which a large number of archers from different parts of the country will attend and, in addition to the hosts of the ETALP club from La Plata, there will be representatives of 100% Archery, Treslomenses Archers Group, Ona Sur Archery, Missionary Archery Association, Cace Archery, Mar del Plata Archery Center, Independence Shooting Club, University Archery Club, Los Cóndores Archery School, Metropolitan Shooting School with Bow, The Cathedral of the Shot, Native Archery, West Devout Archery, Argentine Federal Shot La Plata, Federal Shot of Lomas de Zamora and Federal Shot of Mar del Plata.
It is important to note that it is for 28 competition categories, it will be played under the elimination system and respecting current sanitary protocols. There are approximately 150 archers, it is organized by ETALP and endorsed by the Argentine Archery Federation.
“These tournaments help a lot for people to discover archery, not only as a sporting activity, but also as a recreational activity and it helps us to spread our activity,” explained the organizers.
Regarding the competition system for the weekend tournament, he explained that “the categories are divided by type of arc, by distance and by age. There are those who shoot with the Olympic recurved bows, which are the ones used in the Olympics, a compound bow that already has pulleys, and the traditional bows, which are already a single piece of wood ”.
