At the Yuri Alvear Combat Coliseum, in the municipality of Jamundí, venue of the I Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle 2021, tickets to the semifinals of this discipline were defined.
The fights that opened the day were the quarterfinals of mixed teams. The first teams to jump into the dojo were Cuba and Colombia. The Cubans won the ticket to the semifinal in 5 bouts after beating the local. The next ticket to the semifinal went to Brazil who beat the Dominican Republic. The last semifinalist of the afternoon was Mexico, which needed only four fights to win against Ecuador. While Colombia and the Dominican Republic will meet in the first playoff for bronze, as will Venezuela that will fight Ecuador.
The first key of the semifinal will be played between Cuba and Brazil, and the second ticket to the final will be between the United States and Mexico.
