In this vein, Giraldo wishes to continue and the idea of playing Copa Libertadores next year further reinforces his interest in continuing to wear the blue jacket.
“These two proposals have been presented to the club with document in hand. He says, ‘They love me, but I want to stay in Millionaires. I understand that the club is in a time of economic transition and may not be able to make large salary increases. I do not want to be paid what this club x is proposing to me, but neither what I am winning at the moment‘. They are in that dialogue ”, Capera added.
Thus, the ESPN journalist assured that Giraldo presented a counterproposal to the capital’s team, “the exact numbers of what he intends to earn to stay,” and everything seems to indicate that his renewal is aimed at taking into account the common interest of both parties.
For his part, Guillermo Arango said that the priority of the Cali midfielder is to continue in Millonarios and in that sense “his representative wants the player’s will to be fulfilled”.
However, the dream of international football for Giraldo is still latent and therefore, according to Arango, “they do not rule out the possibility and strive for Millionaires to respond as soon as possible.” Clarifying clearly that the counter offer to renew is “quite accessible to what is being paid in Colombian football”.
