Mendocinos competed in the Argentine Jiu Jitsu Open

A few days ago, the Villa Soldati Olympic Park in Buenos Aires (the former Roca Park) hosted the best jiu jitsu competitors in the country, Uruguay and Brazil.

In this level event, named Open Argentina 2021, There was also the presence of athletes from Mendoza who represented the different affiliates that make up the Cicero Costha Mendoza academy.

The competition is divided into categories by age and also by weight, so the competition day is long due to the number of registered participants for this tournament.

On the Mendoza side, the subsidiaries of Godoy Cruz, Ciudad, Guaymallén, Maipú and Las Heras. Josué Chila, representative of the Lasherina subsidiary directed by Andrés Contreras, won first place in the medium heavy blue belt category. Meanwhile, his partner Ángel Agapo came out first in the master category 2 blue belt.

“We travel between 50 and 60 people and this Open is the most important event in the country by the number of competitors,” he commented.
