The Italian A-series team “AS Roma” wants to train Vladislav Razumejev, the goalkeeper of the Latvian football club “Daugavpils”, to the A-series team or sell it profitably, the football player was quoted on the Daugavpils news portal “chayka.lv” on Tuesday.

16-year-old Razumeyev has already played two games for the Rome club U17 team, with one game in the Italian championship “dry” and the second the only goal in the match compensation from the 11-meter penalty kick. In a conversation with the news portal “chayka.lv”, the football player says that this is the usual logic of professional clubs – to raise a talented young player as a member of the first team or to sell to another club profitably.

The footballer is currently training and playing for the U17 team, paying for training, accommodation and meals to a club in the Italian capital. Razumejev emphasizes that, unlike Daugavpils, there is a goalkeeper coach in every training session, who constantly comments on the goalkeepers’ activities, makes adjustments and provides advice. A lot of work is done on equipment, as well as football is played in every training session. There is only one workout every day, but together with individual work from 2 pm it lasts 3.5-4 hours.

In the U17 team, the Latvian goalkeeper’s competitors are Italian and Norwegian, but all three play the same number of games. The footballer says there are games almost every week. All teams are divided by regions, and the new change of “AS Roma” in group C with 13 or 14 teams is a leader. The top six will qualify for the next round of the competition. The majority of the players on the team are Italians, but in addition to the Norwegian goalkeeper, there are also two guys from Sweden, one each from Brazil and Cyprus.

For the time being, the young man is not going to school, studying Italian more intensively, but from the new year he plans to resume his studies remotely in the tenth grade of Daugavpils Secondary School No. 16. In August, the player was in Rome for ten days, he liked and went to Italy in the beginning of October. This season, Razumeyev was on the bench of “Daugavpils” reservists in one of the matches of the Latvian Football Super League. On a daily basis, he trained in parallel with the Super League and the U16 team. Razumeyev also played a couple of test matches with the main team.

Last year, Razumeyev was recognized as the best player in the Latvian U15 Elite group.

Razumeyev has also been a member of the Latvian youth national team.
