Landessportbund surprises judoka Leonie Beyersdorf
Nievenheim The young trainer is one of the 300 honored volunteers as part of the LSB’s “#Sportehrenamt surprised” campaign.
(sit) During the lockdown in the corona pandemic, which is often difficult to bear, sports clubs are in dire straits: closed halls, contact restrictions – the list was long. During those dark months, the main thing was to keep the members engaged. In many clubs, volunteer coaches have done this with exceptional commitment.
The Landessportbund (LSB) NRW has therefore launched the “#Sportehrenamt surprised” campaign. 300 volunteers from all over North Rhine-Westphalia were selected to reward them for their special commitment in the crisis. Leonie Beyersdorf from the Nievenheim Judo Club is one of the winners. During the lockdown she had organized and led online training courses for different age groups four times a week. In spring and during the first easing, she was the driving force behind the outdoor offers.
Last week she was duly surprised for her tireless zeal with the honor of the LSB, made by JC chairman Christian Hoven and his deputy Andreas Bögner. Hoven: “We thanked the young trainer Leonie Beyersdorf for her extraordinary commitment.”
