The goalkeeper of Ak Bars was guarded by Timur Bilalov, the first goalkeeper of the Dinamo 2018/2019 season, who handled 31 throws from Riga.
“We explained to the hockey players which shots were better to perform. There were several good moments, but we were unable to score,” Kulibaba said.
Meanwhile, “Dynamo” striker Edgar Kulda said it was difficult to draw conclusions about what went wrong in the end.
“I think we played very well. I liked the team’s performance and fighting spirit. We didn’t get a little lucky.
The Latvian hockey player notes that the team can take a lot of positive things from this match.
“We played against one of the best teams in the league and we looked very good. We also had a lot of moments. It is clear that we need to score more goals. We will also try to improve it in the next match,” Kulda said.
In the overall rating of the Western Conference, Riga “Dinamo” is ranked 11th in 25 games with 25 points. In turn, Kazan “Ak Bars” in the table of the Eastern Conference tournament with 44 points in 32 games takes the third place.
After this game, the Rigans will have one away match left in this series, which will be played on November 25 against Nizhny Novgorod “Neftehimik”.
