Knocked out from Indonesia Masters, Ahsan/Hendra Tatap Indonesia Open

KOMPAS.com – Indonesian men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan, stopped in the last 16 of the 2021 Indonesia Masters.

Ahsan/Hendra lost to the Japanese pair, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi, with a score of 21-11, 15-21, and 12-21, in a match which took place at the Bali International Convention Center, Thursday (18/11/2021).

However, Ahsan / Hendra chose to focus on directly looking at the Indonesia Open 2021.

“First, I would like to congratulate the Japanese pair because they have played well and for us to keep the spirit. Just encourage yourself. Keep the spirit to try again next week,” said Mohammad Ahsan after the match.

The Indonesia Open 2021 will take place next week at the same venue, namely the Bali International Convention Centre, from 23-28 November 2021.

Interestingly, Ahsan/Hendra will meet again with Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi in the first round of the Indonesia Open 2021.

“What is certain is that we will return to the physical first, especially from the strength. Because this is still a week or so and we meet the Japanese couple again. Hopefully we can win,” said Hendra Setiawan.

With the elimination of Ahsan/Hendra, the Indonesian men’s doubles left two pairs, namely Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan.

Marcus/Kevin and Pramudya/Yeremia will beat each other in the quarter-finals which will be held on Friday (11/19/2021).
