The judokas from Alghero Ilaria and Nicola Placidi participated as components of the Italian national team in the Kata world championship held in Lisbon. At their first participation, the two athletes defended themselves very well by conquering an eighth place with equal merit with the seventh classified and very few points from the podium of the final in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu (the kata of self-defense). The next appointment for the two standard bearers of the Judo Club Alghero is the Italian kata championship scheduled in Pordenone on November 28th. (p.g.)
