Judo. The young Letizia Barderi on the podium at the national Esordienti

Livorno – One of the hopes of national judo is from Livorno. Her name is Letizia Barderi and since this year, after several seasons at the Accademia dello Sport, she has been involved in Judo Rosignano. At the Italian Esordienti judo championships, weight category 48 kilograms, held a few days ago in Ostia, he won the bronze medal.

Letizia is trained by maestro Marco Tarchi, a red and white belt, one of the best talents led by maestro Renato Cantini, the coach of the Olympic medalist Giulia Quintavalle. At the base of the result obtained by Letizia there is also and above all the good technical work done by Tarchi.

The match took place in direct elimination. Letizia eliminated all the opponents until the semifinal, where she was defeated by Giulia Sorelli, then gold medal, for a trifle and also for an arbitration that left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Rosignano staff.

The Italian championship took place between 13 and 14 November last at Pala Pellicone, the building of the Fijlkam judo federation. Here the young woman from Livorno, just back from a year off, managed to surprise and get on the podium.

Letizia trains with her brother Niccolò in Rosignano. Both have been doing judo since they were five. Both are two promises of Leghorn and Italian judo.
