On the 9th, Daejeon City Sports Association announced that Hanbat University was selected for the ‘2021 New Comprehensive Sports Club 3rd Competition’ project held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Association.

The comprehensive sports club is a project that is carried out based on local public sports facilities to revitalize local residents’ physical activity, foster excellent players, and create jobs.
With this selection, Hanbat University will receive 900 million won in funding for five years.
Hanbat University plans to operate seven sports, including soccer, badminton, table tennis, and golf, based on the on-campus sports facilities in the future.
The plan is to maximize the synergy effect through win-win development with the existing comprehensive sports club, Yuseong Sports Club, to further revitalize professional and lifestyle sports.
With this selection, a total of 11 sports clubs will be operated in Daejeon. Daejeon City Sports Association plans to provide high-quality services to citizens by popularizing daily sports and utilizing public sports clubs.
Lee Seung-chan, president of Daejeon City Sports Council, said, “We will spare no effort to improve the quality of life by providing customized lifestyle sports programs through the promotion of public sports clubs in the sports world, which has been contracted by COVID-19, and to create an advanced sports culture by establishing a virtuous sports circulation system.
