Haaland father gives BVB fans hope to stay

Erling Haaland is one of the best attackers in the world. His father has now praised employer BVB and gives hope that he will stay.

Alf-Inge Haaland, father of BVB star Erling, praised his son’s employer and indirectly gave Borussia Dortmund fans some hope that the super striker would stay beyond the summer.

“If we look behind us, you can see this big stadium. There are usually 82,000 spectators here,” he said on the Norwegian TV channel TV2 in the immediate vicinity of the Signal Iduna Park.

And Haaland senior: “He’s in a fantastic club. We take things as they come.” Despite the contract until 2024, there are numerous rumors of a farewell in the summer, with Haaland being able to leave the club thanks to a release clause.

“Erling does his job and we make sure that he can concentrate on playing football and have fun,” said his father, who wants to keep the Filius out of all transfer speculations as far as possible.

Currently, however, the 21-year-old is forced to watch with an injury to his hip flexor and will probably no longer be used in 2021.
