Guarachi’s rivals for the WTA Finals

Alexa Guarachi (14th in the women’s doubles ranking) will make history for Chilean tennis by being the first Creole woman to play the WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Mexico, a contest that brings together the eight best pairs of the season.

And the national player already counts the hours for her premiere, because together with her partner, the American Desirae Krawczyk (21 °), she met the rivals they will have in the competition on Tuesday.

Guarachi and the North American were in the El Tajín Group (named after an Aztec archaeological zone), they will face the number one seeds of the event, the Czechs Barbora Krejcikova (3rd) and Katerina Siniakova (2nd).

In addition, they will be measured with the Taiwanese Su-Wei Hsieh (1st) and the Belgian Elise Mertens (4th), and the couple of the Mexican Giuliana Olmos (23rd) and the Canadian Sharon Fichman (26th).

The Chilean premiere is expected to be this Thursday, November 10, at a time to be determined.
