good news already, John Wall is still alive

Hey, we’ve got some news from John Wall. Finally news, it is quickly said. Rather, we have confirmation that he is still alive. According to the latest news, the Miami Heat would indeed be interested in the services of this 31-year-old man who has not played a single minute with the Rockets this season.

As we know, John Wall should not wear the Houston jersey this season. The Texas franchise is in the process of rebuilding and giving its minutes to the young duo Jalen Green – Kevin Porter Jr. on the backcourt. A project in which Jean Mur does not subscribe, and in which he does not see himself too much either. Suddenly, after an “amicable agreement”, the veteran leader is quite simply paid to do nothing, before eventually finding a way out that suits both the franchise and the player. According to Miami Herald, the Heat would be one of the franchises interested in John Wall if he ever entered the buyout market. Author of a really solid start to the season (eleven wins, five losses, first place in the East please), the group of Erik Spoelstra obviously wants to continue to strengthen with the veteran to maximize its chances of making noise within the Eastern Conference this season. The notable arrival of Kyle Lowry during the offseason is already making the difference but Pat Riley wouldn’t be against an extra point guard to bolster the depth of the Florida bench. And when we know that John Wall made a rather encouraging comeback last season in Houston (20.6 points and almost 7 assists on average) after his big injuries (including a ruptured Achilles tendon), we can understand the Miami interest. But we are already announcing it here, that will not happen. At least not this season.

Why ? Because for that to happen, John Wall would have to sacrifice the end of his Triple XL contract with the Rockets. Indeed, the Heat do not intend to mount a transfer to recover it, the Heat is only interested in the event of Jean Mur buyout. Knowing that the latter has a salary of more than 44 million dollars this year and especially an option player at more than 47 million for the 2022-23 season, it is dead. Never will John Wall agree to sacrifice so much money to find a new team in the short term. The chances of seeing a buyout from Jean Mur will perhaps be a little higher next season, and still it is not said, but for this year it is impossible scenario. And suddenly, as we indicated recently based on the sources of the Woj, John Wall should simply achieve a white season with the Rockets in 2021-22. There you go, basically there’s not much to remember from this news, except that Jean Mur is alive and well.

When will we see John Wall on a basketball court again? Certainly not this season, and even less so with the Miami Heat. Come on, let’s meet in 2023, with Jean Mur in the Pelicans jersey. Seems they’re still looking for a leader there.
