Pieter Gerkens plays at Royal Antwerp FC together with Michael Frey. In an interview with Het Belang van Limburg, Gerkens compares Frey with Paul Onuachu of KRC Genk.
Both attackers are vital to their clubs. “Michael Frey is deadlier, more efficient in front of goal and has a lot of power. Onuachu is more resilient, more important for his team as a point of contact. Both teams are heavily dependent on them.”
Gerkens also wants to boost his statistics, he admits. “Bwaah, they are still just within the norms. I have three goals now. Two in Europe, against Omonia Nicosia and Fenerbahce. Plus the winning goal at home against Seraing.”
