With no Golden Ball in 2020 due to the pandemic, France Football announced a historic election. That’s because the 11 best players of all time will be chosen by position. Thus, the first names that will compete with each other were released by the magazine, and the initial list included seven Brazilians.
“These eleven lists were drawn up by the editorial staff of France Football who traveled through time – since the mid-1950s – and measured the different generations to name ten players each time, without getting carried away. impressing by the list of awards, but evaluating these candidates in light of their talent, their brand and their class”, stated the vehicle.
Therefore, Cafu, Marcelo, Djalma Santos, Junior, Roberto Carlos, Nilton Santos and Carlos Alberto Torres compete among the defenders. However, Brazilians will have strong competitors, as other names that have marked their names in football history are also present among the nominees.
Later, the group of midfielders and striker will be released by France Football. The final announcement of the 11 elected will be made in December, when the “ideal selection” of all times, chosen by 170 experts around the world, will be known.
